Software Test Engineers - Cork - 35-45 Euros - plus excellent benefits and working environment
Software Test Engineer required by our client in Cork. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development of test specifications as well as test execution, for our clients network management solutions. The test group is responsible for several test phases, including feature, integration, regression, performance, system, and network interoperability. As part of the test activity, you will be required to configure and use simulation tools, as well as developing tools and scripts to support the test process. All test results are formally documented. You should have an excellent understanding of network management (TMN) functionality and of wireless networks (GSM*GPRS*3G) and*or IP. You should have at least 2 years experience in a UNIX telecom software verification role with good debugging skills. You should have good scripting abilities in UNIX shells ( korn or bash ) and Oracle SQL. Knowledge of Perl or Java would also be advantageous. You should understand software test methodologies and the testing lifecycle. You should be able to work well in a team, and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.In addition, it is advantageous to have a good knowledge of software quality measures.
